Bioinformatics: scope and challenges in aquaculture research of Bangladesh- a review

Bioinformatics is one of the ongoing trends biological research integrating gene based information and computational technology to produce new knowledge. It works synthesize complex from multiomics data (results high throughput technologies) by employing a number bioinformatics tools (software). User convenience availability are determining factors these being widely used in research. BLAST, FASTA (FAST-All), EMBOSS, ClustalW, RasMol Protein Explorer, Cn3D, Swiss PDB viewer, Hex, Vega, Bioeditor etc. commonly operated software fisheries aquaculture By default, mine analyze vast set using available databases. However, scientists can use for genomic manipulation, genome annotation expression profiling, molecular folding, modeling, design as well generating network system biology. Therefore, they contribute specified fields such disease diagnosis aquatic health management, fish nutritional aspects culture-able strain development. Although having huge prospects, Bangladesh still infancy applying with limited resources. Research council at national level should be formed bring all enthusiastic skilled manpower under single umbrella facilitate collaborative platform. Besides, fully-fledged degree launched University levels knowledgeable trained work force future This review was attempted shed light on bioinformatics, young integrated field bio-computational research, its significance Bangladesh.
